If you have not operated your license for at least 30-eight hour days in the preceding calendar year, you must apply for a Waiver of Operation before you can renew your liquor license (or simultaneously). If you request the Waiver of Operation after the ABC Board’s November meeting in the year of non-operation, you must pay a $1000.00 PENALTY FEE.
A complete renewal application must be postmarked or filed at the main office of the ABC Board – 2400 Viking Drive – Anchorage AK 99501 – by December 31, to prevent paying a late filing penalty. The late filing penalty is $500.00.
An application will be sent to each licensee by the end of October. If you have not received your application by the second week of November, contact the ABC Board to see what address is on file for your establishment.
An application must be filed on forms updated with the 2400 Viking Drive Anchorage AK 99501 address on them. All other applications may be considered invalid and returned.
An application without Notarized signatures is incomplete and will be returned.
An application without sufficient funds is not complete and will be returned.
An application that does not provide all required information is not complete and will be returned.
All licenses are on a 2-year (Biennial) cycle and expire on December 31 (whether seasonal or full 2-year cycle). All renewal applications and fees are due on or before December 31. A statutory late penalty fee of $500 will automatically be assessed after that date. If your application and fees are not received in the main office of the ABC Board on or before February 28 (extended deadline), your license will expire.
